To become an ECSS member, you must be 18 years of age or above. ECSS members usually hold a university-level degree in the field of sport and exercise science or its sub-disciplines.

Welcome to ECSS Glasgow 2024 – the 29th Annual Congress of the European College of Sport Science! We are thrilled and honoured to host this important event from 2–5 July 2024 – the first time the congress has come to Scotland.
Fellows of the ECSS have made a significant contribution to the development of sport science through research and provide invaluable support for the College. ECSS Fellowship is approved by the Credentials, Awards & Tributes Committee, following an application process.
This event is part of the official programme of ECSS Rimini 2025 and represents a unique opportunity to understand how science helps athletes reach the highest levels of performance.
Today, the ECSS congress ranks among the leading sport science events in the world. It offers a range of invited lectures, symposia and oral presentations as well as workshops, satellites, poster sessions, award opportunities and our world-class exhibition (SportEx).
