Brunson has been New York's franchise player for the last three years, and his arrival in free agency during the summer of 2022 coincided with the rise of the once-dormant organization. He was a good player prior to that while with the Dallas Mavericks, but he quickly elevated his production to a much higher level once he came to the Big Apple.
