New thermal-imaging technology coming to the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department

More than 100 Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department firefighters have been battling a 3-alarm fire at the unfinished Rise Doro apartments in the Sports Complex since early this morning. This afternoon, JFRD crews responded to a recycling debris fire at Republic Services. Thanks to a quick and coordinated response, the fire was brought under control with no injuries reported. Crews remain on scene to make sure the area stays safe and to monitor for any remaining hot spots.
